Saudi Arabia's Transport Authority Mandates National Address For All Parcel Shipments From January 2026
TGA clarified that individuals can access their national address easily through four digital platforms
Saudi Arabia's General Transport Authority (TGA) has announced a mandatory requirement for all parcel delivery firms to include the national address on all mail shipments. Starting January 1, 2026, this will be in effect. The TGA's latest move is aimed at boosting the efficiency of the parcel delivery industry.
Through a social media post, TGA clarified that individuals can access their national address easily through four digital platforms, including Absher, Tawakkalna, Sehhaty, and SPL. According to Saudi Press Agency report, the directive aims to optimise the customer experience, expedite delivery processes, and minimise unnecessary interactions between delivery personnel and recipients. Meanwhile, TGA reported that during Ramadan, the volume of postal shipments handled by licensed firms exceeded 26 million. Compared to the same time last year, this represents an 18% growth.
