Saudi Arabia Marks 32% Surge In Tourism Licenses
Riyadh Region issued the most licenses, with a total of 955.
Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Tourism has marked a growth of 32% in the number of licenses issued for travel and tourism services across the country by the end of last year, reaching a total of 2,853, compared to 2023. Saudi Press Agency, citing preliminary data from 2024, reported that Riyadh Region issued the most licenses, with a total of 955.
This was followed by Makkah Region with 792 licenses, Eastern Region with 472, Madinah Region with 191, and Qassim Region with 116 licenses. Mohammed Al-Rasasimah, official spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism, stated that the rise in licenses reflects the ministry's commitment to supporting tourism operators and improving service quality to meet the needs of the growing number of domestic and international tourists.
