YouTube Shorts To Include TikTok-Like Editing Features
New features include an improved video editor and the ability to generate AI stickers
YouTube Shorts is set to introduce new features to attract new users and help creators publish engaging short-form videos. New features include an improved video editor, the ability to generate AI stickers, content synchronization with music beats and enhanced templates.
The Google-owned platform is unveiling new features as TikTok approaches a deadline to be separated from its Chinese owner or face a ban in the United States. With the improved video editor, creators can make precise adjustments and edits to the timing of each clip with zooming and snapping, rearrange or delete clips to create a rough cut and can add music or timed text.
Shorts will also soon let users create custom stickers using text prompts. Additionally, creators will also be able to choose a song and have their clips automatically aligned with the music’s rhythm, taking the headache out of manual syncing. The platform will also enhance templates, as users can pull photos from their gallery and use them in templates.
