Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella recently said that up to 30% of the company’s code is now written by artificial intelligence. Satya Nadella made the statement during a discussion on Tuesday with Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg at Meta’s LlamaCon conference. When the question was passed on to Zuckerberg by Nadella, the Meta CEO reportedly said he did not know how much of his firm's code is being generated by AI.

Satya Nadella also said that Microsoft was experiencing mixed results with AI-written code across various languages, reported TechCrunch. Meanwhile, Microsoft CTO Kevin Scott said last month that 95% of code will be AI-generated within five years. "Now, that doesn't mean that the AI is doing the software engineering job, and so I think the more important and interesting part of authorship is still going to be entirely human," Kevin Scott said, as quoted by Business Insider. The latest remark pointed to a significant shift occurring throughout the tech industry, characterised by a growing reliance on AI to increase output.
